Red deer are one of my favourite animals and are an icon of British wildlife. Stags, in particular, are magnificent when they bellow and the  sun illuminates their breath on a cold morning. I loved the interplay between the warm browns and the cool blues which create a more dynamic picture and add to the atmosphere. I added the swallows to complement t

Pileated Woodpeckers, native to North America, are very striking birds thanks to their red crests. This woodpecker was seen by a friend travelling in America and I was drawn to the contrast between the red of its crest and the green forest behind. Stoat study

Oil on linen board

£275

Eclipse over Iona

20 x 30cm

Oil on linen board

£255

I was incredibly lucky to witness the 2024 solar eclipse over the Isle of Iona through the living room of our holiday cottage on Mull.

The island is a very spiritual place due to its religious significance, and the way the sun's glow backlit the island was a magical moment in time that I had to capture.

Under the Lime tree

Oil on Linen canvas

60cm x 40cm

£995

I saw these Red deer at Studley Royal Estate in Yorkshire. This herd was used to people and so were content with me sitting close by to take photos. The Lime tree they're standing beneath is a common feature of the Estate and provided the perfect place for the deer to rest.
